AsianFin -- OpenAI generated approximately $4.3 billion in revenue during the first half of 2025, marking about 16% more than its total revenue for all of 2024, according to a report by The Information on Monday citing financial disclosures to shareholders.

The company also reported $2.5 billion in expenses, largely driven by research and development costs for AI development and operating ChatGPT, the report added.
