AsianFin -- Unitree Robotics, a rising star in China’s booming robotics sector, is set to unveil a new humanoid robot later this year. At the 4th Global Digital Trade Expo on Friday, CEO Wang Xingxing revealed that the robot, standing at 1.8 meters, will showcase the latest advancements in the company's rapidly evolving technology.

The announcement comes amidst a wave of growth in China’s robotics industry, with local companies seeing an average growth rate of 50% to 100% in 2024. Wang emphasized that Unitree Robotics has made significant strides in refining its robot algorithms, which have undergone multiple iterations this year. These updates have resulted in a major improvement in stability, with the robot now able to recover from disturbances thanks to a new "anti-gravity mode."

"With this new feature, the robot can stand upright even when facing external interference," Wang explained. This advancement enhances the robot’s resilience, making it more reliable in various settings.

In addition to boosting stability, the algorithm upgrade has also expanded the robot’s functional capabilities. The updated system enables the humanoid to perform complex dance routines and martial arts movements, marking a leap in its dexterity and versatility.
