AsianFin -- Boeing delivered the first of two 777 freighters ordered by China’s Suparna Airlines on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone in U.S.-China aviation trade. The announcement was made on Thursday via Boeing’s official WeChat account.

This delivery is notable as it represents the first new-build freighter handed over to a Chinese carrier since the onset of the U.S.-China tariff war, which has disrupted aircraft sales and other trade between the two nations.

Suparna Airlines’ order highlights the ongoing demand for wide-body cargo aircraft in China, where e-commerce and logistics growth continue to drive the need for larger and more capable freighters. Boeing said nearly 60 777 freighters are already operating across six Chinese carriers, underscoring the aircraft’s popularity and reliability in the region.
