AsianFin -- U.S. medical device company GE Healthcare is working with advisers to explore strategic options for its China unit, including a potential outright sale, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The company is also considering finding a local partner or selling a stake in the unit, the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the confidentiality of the discussions.
While the China unit could be valued in the billions of dollars, talks are still at an early stage, and a more precise valuation has yet to be determined, the person added.
