AsianFin — Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co. has announced a large-scale recall of its flagship SU7 Standard Edition electric vehicles, citing regulatory requirements under China’s Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Products and its implementation measures.
The recall, filed with the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), affects a total of 116,887 vehicles manufactured between February 6, 2024, and August 30, 2025.
According to the company, the recall will be carried out through an over-the-air (OTA) software upgrade, which will be provided free of charge to affected users. This method avoids the need for customers to physically bring their cars back to service centers, ensuring a more efficient fix.
