Swiss Exports to U.S. Plunge After Tariff Hike

AsianFin -- Swiss exports to the United States suffered a sharp decline following the imposition of a 39% tariff, the highest among developed nations.

Seasonally adjusted customs data released Thursday showed that foreign sales to the U.S. fell 22% in August compared with July, marking the first reading since the levy took effect. Meanwhile, imports from the U.S. remained unchanged.
