AsianFin -- Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of global luxury group LVMH, is in Shanghai for his third visit in three years.
Social media posts showed Arnault visiting the new Louis Vuitton boat-shaped concept store on West Nanjing Road in Jing’an district yesterday. Later, he reportedly toured the Laopu Gold jewelry store in Shanghai IFC Mall, Pudong New Area, where he admired the pieces on display, describing them as “exquisite and interesting.”
Arnault and his entourage did visit the Laopu Gold store. The sources also noted that this was not the first LVMH executive visit to the Chinese jewelry firm; a senior LVMH executive had visited a Laopu Gold store in Beijing in June for research purposes.
