AsianFin -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced a further delay in enforcing the ban on TikTok, extending the deadline to December 16. This marks the fourth postponement of a law aimed at compelling the Chinese-owned video-sharing app to restructure its U.S. operations.
The executive order issuing the delay comes as negotiations between Washington and Beijing over a new ownership arrangement for TikTok’s U.S. business appear to be progressing. Earlier on Tuesday, Trump told reporters that the two countries had reached a preliminary deal on how TikTok would operate under a revised U.S.-controlled structure.
