AsianFin -- Xiaomi has jumped over the number 16 and named its next flagship series the Xiaomi 17, aiming to compete directly with Apple’s iPhone 17, Chairman Lei Jun announced on Weibo. The Xiaomi 17 series is set to launch this month, a month earlier than last year’s Xiaomi 15 rollout. Apple began taking preorders for the iPhone 17 in China on September 12, with deliveries scheduled to start on September 19.
