AsianFin -- Wang Yu, Chief Systems Manager for IT Strategy and Architecture at the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, emphasized that the heart of digital intelligence transformation lies not in technology, but in data.

Speaking at the 2025 ITValue Summit held on September 12 in Sanya, Wang outlined his vision for data-driven transformation.

According to Wang, the future of digital intelligence will be powered by data assetization, turning traditional process-driven operations into customer- and demand-driven models. By productizing data, organizations can leverage insights to drive innovation and better respond to user needs. Wang also highlighted the importance of data innovation, advocating for the creation of data laboratories that attract talent and partners to collaborate on cutting-edge projects. Additionally, data serviceization was presented as a way to establish a robust ecosystem, offering data as a service to support external collaboration and build partnerships.

Wang concluded that for organizations pursuing digital intelligence, effectively managing and leveraging data as a core asset will be the primary engine for sustainable transformation and growth. The approach aims to move beyond technology-centric strategies toward a holistic, data-first framework that aligns with customer needs and ecosystem development.
