AsianFin -- The shipments of wearable wristband devices in mainland China reached 33.9 million units in the first half of 2025, marking a 36% year-on-year increase, according to Canalys data.

This follows a strong 33% growth in the second half of 2024, continuing the market’s robust upward trajectory. The first-half performance sets a new historical high for wearable band shipments in mainland China.

Huawei led the market with 12 million units shipped, capturing a 36% market share, while Xiaomi closely followed with 11 million units, accounting for 32% of the market. Both companies surpassed the milestone of 10 million units shipped in a single first-half period for the first time.

The strong growth underscores the ongoing consumer demand for smart wearable devices in China, driven by health monitoring features, fitness tracking, and increasing integration with smartphones and other connected devices. Analysts expect competition between Huawei and Xiaomi to intensify further as both firms aim to expand their product ecosystems and maintain leadership in the fast-growing wearable market.
