AsianFin -- Dreame Technology, the Chinese robotics and smart home appliances manufacturer best known for its robotic vacuum cleaners, is expanding into the automotive sector with a new factory in Germany located near Tesla’s Berlin facility.

The Suzhou-based company confirmed the site was selected by a team led by Dreame founder and CEO Yu Hao. Dreame’s automotive division will partner with French banking group BNP Paribas to prepare for its entry into the global electric vehicle market.

The company announced its automotive ambitions on August 28 and has set a bold target: to launch its first ultra-luxury electric vehicle in 2027, aiming to compete with high-end models such as the Bugatti Veyron. The German factory is expected to play a central role in production and international distribution.

During their visit, Dreame executives also scouted potential locations for an intelligent production base focused on large home appliances, signaling the company’s broader ambitions to integrate advanced manufacturing technologies across multiple product lines.
