AsianFin -- BlueFocus Intelligent Communications Group, one of China’s leading public relations firms, announced on September 8 that it has invested tens of millions of yuan, equivalent to several million U.S. dollars, in domestic generative engine optimization (GEO) agency Pureblue Intelligence Technology, backed by the Tsinghua Alumni Seed Fund.
The move marks a strategic push by BlueFocus to accelerate its presence in China’s burgeoning GEO market, which is valued in the billions of yuan. By partnering with Pureblue AI, the Beijing-based company aims to capture a new competitive edge in brand marketing amid the rapid rise of generative artificial intelligence technologies.
“Generative AI is reshaping how users search and interact with digital content,” BlueFocus said in a statement. “Unlike traditional search engine optimization, which relies on keywords to improve visibility, generative engine optimization enables brands to achieve higher exposure on AI-driven platforms, opening new opportunities in the AI era.”
