AsianFin -- At a routine press briefing, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) addressed recent disputes surrounding subsidies in the food delivery sector.

Wang Qiuping, spokesperson for SAMR, said the regulator has promptly summoned major food delivery platforms for talks. The companies responded quickly and issued collective statements pledging strict compliance with laws and regulations.

According to Wang, the platforms have committed to avoiding unfair competition, curbing excessive subsidies, and working together to foster a more standardized and orderly industry environment.
