AsianFin -- As Apple’s next product launch approaches, Foxconn — the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and a key iPhone assembler — has entered its peak production period, according to multiple media reports.
China news portal eeo.com.cn reported Tuesday that Foxconn’s Longhua plant in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, is actively recruiting new workers to meet increased demand.
The report noted that other Apple supply chain partners have also stepped up hiring efforts, with some offering higher referral bonuses to attract talent.
Henan Daily reported on August 18 that long queues have formed outside Foxconn’s recruitment center in Zhengzhou. Fang Siming, a human resources official at the Zhengzhou facility, said the center has been processing thousands of applications daily since late July, with high hiring activity expected to continue through October.
