AsianFin -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced Tuesday a joint initiative aimed at tightening oversight of digital assets.

The two agencies said they will coordinate to issue guidance on the “listing of leveraged, margined, or financed spot retail commodity transactions involving digital assets.” The move underscores Washington’s push to bring greater regulatory clarity to a sector that has grown rapidly but remains fragmented under existing rules.
