AsianFin -- French automaker Renault has named Katrin Adt, a former Mercedes-Benz vice president, as the new managing director of its budget-friendly Dacia brand, the company announced Monday.
Adt succeeds Denis Le Vot, who was previously considered a top candidate for Renault’s CEO role. Le Vot will now depart the company, the group confirmed, as Renault undertakes a broader management reshuffle under new CEO Francois Provost.
Adt’s appointment comes as Renault seeks to strengthen Dacia’s market position and drive innovation in its value-oriented lineup, leveraging her experience from Mercedes-Benz to steer the brand’s growth strategy.
