AsianFin -- Taiwanese chip giant TSMC, the world’s largest semiconductor foundry, is moving beyond manufacturing to help its suppliers and partners better protect and manage trade secrets, the company said.

The move comes as TSMC, which produces cutting-edge chips for companies like Nvidia and Apple, looks to foster innovation across its supply chain. The company plans to market a proprietary system it developed for managing and leveraging its extensive portfolio of trade secrets to firms in Europe and the United States, according to its associate general counsel, who spoke with Reuters.

By sharing this system, TSMC aims to enhance collaboration, reduce the risk of intellectual property leaks, and encourage innovation among its global partners, while maintaining the competitive edge that has helped it dominate the advanced chip market.
