AsianFin -- Vietnam plans to transition fully to ethanol-blended gasoline starting next year, a move that could significantly increase the country’s imports of ethanol and corn from the United States.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has submitted a proposal to the government to adopt E10 fuel, which combines gasoline with up to 10% bioethanol, according to ministry documents reviewed by Reuters. Currently, Vietnam relies on RON95 and RON92 unleaded gasoline standards.
