Saudi AI Firm Humain to Launch Data Centers Using US Chips in 2026

Aug 26, 2025, 3:02 a.m. ET

AsianFin -- Saudi Arabia’s emerging artificial intelligence company, Humain, has begun construction on its first data centers in the kingdom, aiming to have them operational by early 2026 using semiconductors sourced from the United States.

The data centers, located in Riyadh and Dammam in the Eastern Province, are slated to go live in the second quarter of 2026, each with an initial capacity of up to 100 megawatts, according to CEO Tareq Amin.

Humain is actively procuring chips from U.S. manufacturers, including Nvidia Corp., and has secured local regulatory approval to acquire 18,000 of Nvidia’s latest AI processors, Amin said.

“It depends on governance, protocols, and the approval of the U.S. government. These are formalities that we will begin addressing very soon,” Amin told reporters on Monday during an event unveiling Humain’s Arabic-language chatbot.
