AsianFin -- Alibaba Group’s workplace messaging platform DingTalk and the voice team at its AI research arm Tongyi Lab have introduced a new large language model for speech recognition, according to a Sina Tech report.

The model, called Fun-ASR, is designed to handle professional terminology across more than 10 industries, including internet, technology, home decoration, animal husbandry, and automotive. It also allows enterprises to train customized AI models tailored to their business needs.

By integrating with enterprise data within DingTalk—such as contact lists, schedules, and knowledge bases—Fun-ASR can enhance reasoning and reduce the risk of errors commonly generated by large language models, the companies said in a joint statement.
