Japan’s Exports Fall at Fastest Pace in Four Years Amid U.S. Tariff Pressure

AsianFin -- Japan’s exports fell sharply in July, recording the steepest monthly decline in nearly four years as escalating U.S. tariffs weigh on the country’s trade-reliant economy.

Government data released Wednesday showed total exports dropped 2.6% year-on-year, the largest monthly fall since February 2021, when shipments fell 4.5%.
