AsianFin -- XPeng Motors announced on Thursday that it has signed an agreement with Volkswagen Group to expand their strategic collaboration on electronic and electrical (E/E) architecture technology, according to a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing.

The expanded partnership will see the jointly developed, industry-leading E/E architecture integrated not only into Volkswagen’s pure electric vehicle platforms in China but also deployed across the automaker’s internal combustion and plug-in hybrid platforms in the Chinese market.

The agreement marks a significant deepening of the two companies’ technology collaboration, extending their joint efforts to a broader range of vehicle types and markets.
