AsianFin -- China is set to send a senior envoy to New Delhi next week, in a move seen as part of Beijing’s push to mend long-standing tensions with India amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s sweeping trade policy shifts.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is expected to visit the Indian capital on Aug. 18 — his first trip to the country in more than three years — for talks with National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, according to people familiar with the matter.
