AsianFin — Tesla has undergone a major reorganization of its engineering teams following CEO Elon Musk's decision to halt the company's in-house chip and supercomputer project, known as Dojo.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the Dojo project has been split up, and its personnel have been reassigned to several different departments. Some of the software-focused engineers have been moved to a team led by Ashok Elluswamy, who oversees AI development for Tesla's robotaxi and humanoid robot programs.
Other engineers who were working on silicon chips and semiconductors have been transferred to a team under Aaron Rodgers, who is responsible for Tesla's autonomous driving hardware development and the AI5 chip project. The firmware development team is now managed by Silvio Brugada.
Neither Tesla nor Elon Musk has commented on the matter.
