AsianFin -- UnionPay, the Chinese financial services company with over nine billion cards issued worldwide, is set to launch operations in Brazil in 2025.

The company plans to introduce its credit cards and integrate with PIX, Brazil's instant payment system. This expansion is being facilitated by the fintech company Left, which is working to connect UnionPay with the country's banking networks, vending machines, and ATMs.

UnionPay operates in over 180 countries and is a major player in the global card market, reportedly handling about 40% of all card transaction volume.
