Chief Executive Officer Lip-Bu Tan will visit the White House on Monday for talks with President Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The meeting comes days after Trump demanded Tan’s resignation over his links to Chinese companies.

Tan is expected to outline his personal and professional background and propose ways Intel could partner with the U.S. government, framing the company’s manufacturing capacity as vital to national security, the report said. Intel and the White House didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
