AsianFin -- New Delhi has paused its plans to acquire new U.S. weapons and aircraft, marking India’s first clear sign of displeasure following tariffs imposed on its exports by President Donald Trump, which have soured bilateral ties to their lowest point in decades.

India had intended to send Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Washington in the coming weeks to announce some of the purchases, but that trip has now been cancelled, according to two officials familiar with the situation.
