AsianFin— In response to reports that Tesla is disbanding its Dojo supercomputer team and turning to external partners like Nvidia, AMD, and Samsung, Elon Musk emphasized the company’s focus on optimizing internal AI chip development.

Musk explained that it is inefficient for Tesla to spread resources across two entirely different AI chip designs. He highlighted that Tesla’s upcoming AI5, AI6, and future chips will deliver strong performance in inference and training tasks. All efforts will now concentrate on advancing these proprietary chips.
