AsianFin -- U.S. exporter Energy Transfer said Wednesday that recent restrictions on ethane exports to China—despite being lifted—could still complicate future contracting with Chinese firms.

The U.S. had imposed limits on ethane and other exports to China in late May and early June, in response to accusations that Beijing was delaying shipments of rare earth elements critical to industries such as automotive manufacturing.
