AsianFin -- Unitree Robotics, a leading Chinese robotics startup, unveiled its latest quadruped robot dog, the Unitree A2, on August 5. The new model weighs approximately 37 kilograms and boasts an unloaded range of up to 20 kilometers.
According to demonstration videos released by the company, the A2 can reach a top running speed of 5 meters per second and climb obstacles up to 1 meter high.
The robot’s robust structural design enables it to withstand a 175cm-tall, 100kg adult jumping on its back without compromising stability. Additionally, the A2 maintains steady locomotion on rugged terrains such as gravel surfaces.
