AsianFin -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that OpenAI’s open-source models are now available on its AI platforms Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker, marking the first time OpenAI’s models have been integrated into AWS’s generative AI services.

The move aims to help enterprise customers accelerate the development of generative AI applications using OpenAI’s latest open-source models, gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b, which were released recently.

According to AWS, the larger of the two open-weight models on Bedrock delivers cost-efficiency three times that of Google’s Gemini models, five times that of DeepSeek-R1, and double the efficiency of OpenAI’s proprietary o4 model.
