AsianFin -- The 15% tariff the U.S. plans to impose on European Union goods will be applied across the board, without carve-outs or exemptions negotiated by other trading partners, a senior EU official said on Tuesday.

The sweeping tariff framework will cover most EU exports to the U.S., excluding steel and aluminum, the official said. The duties will also extend to automobiles and car parts, with no quotas or volume limits, he added.
