AsianFin -- Pony.ai has officially rolled out its autonomous Robotaxi service in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area, marking one of the first operators to receive the latest batch of smart connected vehicle demonstration licenses from the city.

In partnership with Jinjiang Taxi, Pony.ai’s Robotaxi service now offers regular public rides in the Jin Qiao and Hua Mu neighborhoods of Pudong. Operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., users can hail autonomous vehicles via the Pony.ai mobile app or mini-program.
