AsianFin -- A recent survey by The Associated Press–NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that searching for information is the most common use of artificial intelligence among U.S. adults.
Conducted from July 10 to 14 with a nationally representative sample of 1,437 adults aged 18 and over, the study examined eight different AI use cases. Sixty percent of respondents said they have used AI to look up information—significantly higher than other use cases such as seeking inspiration, completing work tasks, writing emails, image generation or editing, entertainment, shopping, or companionship, which saw usage rates decline progressively from 40% to just 16%.
