AsianFin – China and the United States will extend a set of previously suspended tariffs by 90 days, as both sides work to stabilize bilateral economic relations, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday.

Ministry spokesperson He Yadong announced at a regular press briefing that, in line with the consensus reached during the recent China-U.S. economic and trade talks in Stockholm, the two countries will proceed with a 90-day extension of the paused 24% reciprocal tariffs imposed by the U.S., along with China’s corresponding countermeasures.
