AsianFin -- China has implemented unilateral or full visa-free policies for 75 countries as part of efforts to facilitate international travel and boost connectivity, Vice Minister of Public Security and Director of the National Immigration Administration Wang Zhizhong said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office on the progress of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, Wang said the country has accelerated the optimization of visa policies in recent years. Transit visa-free arrangements have also expanded to include 55 countries, with the number of eligible entry ports increasing to 60.
In addition, the maximum permitted stay under the transit visa exemption has been standardized and extended to 240 hours (10 days), offering greater convenience to international travelers.
