JD Cloud Open-Sources JoyAgent as Internal Use Surpasses 20,000 AI Agents

AsianFin -- JD Cloud has officially open-sourced its enterprise-grade AI agent system JoyAgent, the company announced on July 26 at the WAIC 2025 conference.

Touted as the industry’s first fully open-source commercial agent solution, JoyAgent offers open access to all core components—including its frontend, backend, engine, framework, and sub-agents—and can be independently deployed on local infrastructure without reliance on JD’s platform.

Unlike general-purpose agents, JoyAgent features a multi-agent collaboration engine that leverages both large and small models to dynamically construct a directed acyclic graph (DAG) execution engine. This allows the system to proactively identify problems, execute tasks with high precision, and coordinate complex workflows efficiently.

JD has already deployed more than 20,000 AI agents internally across its retail, logistics, finance, industrial, and healthcare verticals. These agents are powering use cases such as intelligent customer service, logistics optimization, and R&D productivity enhancement.
