Tesla Profit Drops 16% Amid Ongoing Backlash Against Elon Musk

AsianFin -- Tesla reported a 16% decline in quarterly profit for the three months ending in June, a period marked by CEO Elon Musk’s departure from the White House and his escalating feud with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to the company’s earnings release on Wednesday.

The results came in below Wall Street expectations.

Total revenue fell 12% year-over-year to $22.4 billion, while automotive sales revenue slid 16% compared to the same quarter in 2024, highlighting ongoing challenges for the electric vehicle maker.
