AsianFin -- A federal appeals court in San Francisco has upheld a lower court's decision to block President Donald Trump’s attempt to restrict birthright citizenship.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday affirmed a nationwide injunction issued by a Seattle judge, who had ruled in favor of Democratic officials from Washington, Arizona, Illinois, and Oregon. Earlier this month, a separate federal judge in New Hampshire also blocked the citizenship restrictions.
