AsianFin -- Neuralink, the brain-computer interface startup founded by Elon Musk, announced that it successfully performed two implantation surgeries in a single day for the first time over the weekend.

The company said both patients—referred to as P8 and P9—are recovering well and in good spirits.

“This marks the first time we’ve completed two surgeries in one day,” Neuralink stated, highlighting a milestone in its efforts to scale the deployment of its brain interface technology.

Elon Musk responded to the news on social media, reiterating his vision that Neuralink could ultimately transform the lives of millions—if not billions—of people. “Imagine your loved one being able to walk again, or a parent with dementia recognizing their children once more,” Musk wrote.
