AsianFin -- Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang praised Chinese AI researchers and open-source innovation during a high-profile appearance in Beijing, spotlighting DeepSeek as a standout contributor to global artificial intelligence development.

Speaking at the International Supply Chain Expo on Thursday, Huang joined a fireside chat with Wang Jian — former Alibaba executive and founding architect of Alibaba Cloud — where he commended the technical strength and global impact of Chinese AI efforts.

“DeepSeek’s work is incredibly well written. It’s A-plus quality science and A-plus quality engineering,” Huang said, calling the Chinese research group a leader in the AI field.

He emphasized that China’s open-source models are not only advancing domestic innovation but are also “helping the rest of the world.” Huang noted that Chinese researchers publish more AI papers than any other country, reinforcing China’s central role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
