AsianFin -- The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a federal district judge’s injunction, effectively allowing the Trump administration to proceed with its plan to dismantle parts of the Department of Education.

Among the nine justices, three liberal justices dissented. Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in her dissenting opinion, wrote: “When the executive branch openly announces its intent to violate the law and acts on it, it is the judiciary’s responsibility to stop—not accelerate—such unlawful behavior.”
