AsianFin -- In a global first, a robot has independently boarded a subway train to deliver goods in Shenzhen, marking a breakthrough in urban logistics.
On July 14, at Shenzhen Metro Line 2’s Bayxia Station, a delivery robot used idle train hours and AI-powered scheduling algorithms to complete an entirely unmanned delivery task.
The robot was jointly developed by Shenzhen Metro and property developer Vanke, combining advanced robotics with intelligent transportation systems. The milestone highlights Shenzhen’s push to integrate automation and public infrastructure in next-generation urban delivery solutions.
