AsianFin — French retail giant Carrefour Group has signed two agreements to sell nine stores in France, with a total estimated value of €70 million.
The sale includes five Carrefour hypermarkets, two Carrefour Market stores, one Carrefour City, and one Match store. French supermarket chains Système U and Intermarché will take over seven and two of the stores, respectively.
Carrefour expects both transactions to close in the first half of 2026. The move is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to streamline its store portfolio and optimize operations in its home market.
