China Reaffirms Position on TikTok After Trump Comments on Deal Talks

AsianFin -- China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning reiterated Beijing’s position that China has stated its principled stance on the TikTok issue multiple times.

She said at a regular press briefing where Bloomberg asked about U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks that Washington would hold consultations with Beijing over a possible acquisition of TikTok.

Trump claimed that a deal was “basically done,” pending potential approval from the Chinese side.
