AsianFin -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday approved President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax-and-spending legislation, marking a major political victory for the administration and paving the way for key elements of Trump’s domestic agenda to become law.
The bill passed by a narrow margin of 218–214. Two Republicans — Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania — broke ranks to vote against the measure, joining all House Democrats in opposition.
The legislation now moves to the president’s desk for his signature.
