Beijing on Alert as U.S. Pushes Trade Pacts Designed to Sideline China

AsianFin -- While the current trade détente between Washington and Beijing remains intact, China is growing increasingly concerned about a wave of U.S.-led trade initiatives that threaten to exclude Chinese firms from global supply chains.

Ahead of a July 9 deadline, U.S. officials are intensifying negotiations with key partners in Asia and Europe, seeking new agreements that would impose limits on Chinese content or commit allies to countering what the U.S. deems unfair trade practices by China.
