AsianFin -- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has issued a request for more information regarding SoftBank Group Corp’s proposed $6.5 billion acquisition of chip designer Ampere Computing, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

The so-called “second request” indicates that the deal may face a more prolonged regulatory review.
