AsianFin — TikTok Shop officially launched its e-commerce business in Japan on Monday, enabling users to purchase products directly within the TikTok app.
The move allows brands, merchants, and creators to sell goods via shoppable videos and livestreams, offering a seamless “discovery-to-purchase” shopping experience.
The Japan rollout marks another major step in TikTok’s global commerce expansion. The platform has already established a strong presence in key markets including Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Spain, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, and Brazil — many of which have reported strong performance and user engagement through TikTok Shop.
